Comfy
Sometimes Scooby Doo gets a little bit scary and little boys have to find a big sister to snuggle up with. And sometimes that big sister is just so comfy that little boys fall right to sleep. :)
Mamie 10.5
Bad, blurry pics but try to just consider them all warm and fuzzy. August 4th is a very, very special day in our family...
The Raymies!
About 17 years ago when newlywed Aaron and I lived on Whidbey Island in Washington, we made some of the absolute dearest friends of our lives, Tim and Laura. We all cried and were devastated when the time came for us to move and part ways a few years later. Since then we have only been all together again a small handful of times. I can't even say how appreciative we were that during their most recent cross-country move one of their priorities was to stop in and spend a few days with us! Their 15-year-old Aaron was spending some time with his grandparents so we didn't get to see him this time, but we all thoroughly enjoyed Alex and Zac and wanted to adopt them by the end of the visit! :)
The original 4 of us...
We have significanly multiplied! And remember, their oldest wasn't even with us!
We love you guys SO much!

Oops--Found a Few More
So maybe I wasn't entirely finished after all. Just remembered there was one last Peekshner get-together at Gran and Pappy's on the very last day of our stay.

New Baby in the Family!
This is it! This is the last of my catching up the blog with summer trip photos! Ultimately what led us to stay 7 weeks in Louisiana is that my brother Travis and my sister(in-law, technically, but I like her to just be my little sis)Becki who were expecting their first baby honored me by asking me to be her godmother. I happily agreed and therefore made the decision that I just had to stick around for her baby shower. And it really was such a joy for the kids and I to be there celebrating this happy time with my family.
So here is adorable Becki glowing and so happy at 33 weeks pregnant. Not a single one of us would've believed then that the baby would be born very, very suddenly 15 days later! So yes, before I could even blog these pictures, baby Rori Claire joined our world, and she is already over two weeks old. So back to Louisiana I get to go very soon for her christening, and I cannot wait to meet her!

Still My Little Babies :-)
I dug a few old baby things of mine out of storage at Mom and Dad's that I wanted to offer to Travis and Becki for their baby. In rereading the instructions for the baby carrier to demonstrate how to use it, I was reminded that the company states it can be used for babies and young children up to 50 pounds. Um...one thing led to another.
Pretty sure Curran wasn't practicing his kung fu moves the last time he rode in this thing.
Guess who else wanted a turn.
