Alaire's godmother, Nanny Mindi, came over for a great visit this afternoon. We hadn't seen each other since last year at this time, but we always get together and pick right back up as though no time has passed at all.
Curran loved pretty Maci, my very grown up goddaughter.
We have pictures like this of us from when Maci was a little bitty baby. But the early-90's hairstyles we sport in those photos prohibit me from sharing those with you all. :D
I'm sure somewhere buried way down under decades of stuff there is also a pic of us like this at about age 6. I love my buddy.

Christmas Day 2008
I know 4 cajun cuties who had a wonderful Christmas!
Ramsey and Maren bounced into our bedroom around 7:15 and asked if they could take a peek into the living room to see if Santa had come. Their excitement and chattering upon finding he had come was enough to wake Alaire. All three girls got into our bed with us, and I read them a little story about Mary and Joseph going to Bethlehem. Aaron couldn't wait any longer, and just as I was reading the last few pages, he went in and took a sleeping Curran out of bed, and all 6 of us made our way to the Christmas tree together!

We scrambled to get our act together in order to make it to church, and we did make it with a few minutes to spare. While we were in mass, my sister's family went to my mom's and had the pleasure of opening Mary Maw's gifts without all the chaos of a full house. They finished up with that as we finished up with mass, and we headed over to join them for a Christmas feast and a lot of good family fun.
Wonder whose handprint that is in the bread pudding...

...looks like a guilty face to me!

Mamie and Stinky

Nerf dart gun was a real hit

Monica and Jacob visiting from Wisconsin was a treat for all of us!

there's something about this chair:

I love the look on this face! Daddy adoration!

Grown up Landon

Stinky Parain Travis and Nannie Becki looking so cute together

Mary Maw surrounded by her eight grandchildren

And my family after a long, long, long and fun Christmas Day
