Halloween Night

Our neighborhood here is wonderful and safe and big enough to have more than enough houses for trick-or-treating, but not so big as to be crowded or overwhelming. We walked almost the entire neighborhood but had to stop after about an hour and a half because Curran and Alaire could no longer carry their own heavy treat bags! That posed a bit of a problem because Curran couldn't hold his alone but would declare "It mine!" when we tried to help him out. Heeheee...they were real troopers. The little dude definitely held his own tonight with the big kids.

For all of you back home whom we've always seen on Halloween night year after year, we missed you. I hope this entry serves as a small substitute for you! xoxoxo

Working on a Special Treat

I let Alaire scoop out cookie dough and squish it down into the pan to surprise her sisters with a special Halloween Day afterschool cookie cake. Curran was checking it all out but was really only interested in munching the chocolate covered raisins that Alaire would pick out of the dough for him. :) He was being pretty stinkin' cute, though.

Maren's Halloween Creations

This one is named Olivia :)

And this one's Penelope

These are two Halloween projects Maren got to work on over the past couple weeks. I think her teacher gives them great opportunities to get creative, and I love that a creative writing assignment always goes along with them.
