And If You're Too Little To Carve Pumpkins...

you get the bubbliest bath ever!! Alaire and Curran stayed in until they became raisins, and even Ramsey and Maren had to take a break from carving to join in the fun for a little bit. :)

Our 2008 Pumpkin Creations

Aaron felt like getting a little adventurous in our carving, and with Ramsey and Maren being mature enough to actually carve their own pumpkins this year, we sure had a fun weekend of carving and chatting and laughing together! I love good old traditional jack-o-lanterns, so we have a few of those--but we also did a lot of stenciling. Ramsey carved a traditional face and the stencil of the witch, Maren did the spider web, I carved the wolves, and Aaron did all the others!

Crafty Kids

Over the weekend, Ramsey, Maren, and Alaire worked on these cute frames made from a template courtesy of the Crayola website (and quite a few other cute Halloween coloring projects), some recycled cereal boxes, and some quick prints I made at home using pictures of the kids taken the night of the Halloween parade. At a family party on Sunday, the kids distributed their artwork to aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents and got a lot of smiles and hugs in return.

Halloween Parade

Friday evening we found out there was a parade about to go by downtown, and we had just enough time to dress the kids and walk over to grab a spot along the parade route. They had a really fun time watching the short parade go by, seeing all the cool costumes, dancing to the music, and catching enough candy to hype them up for this whole past week!

2007

There are literally tons of photos from our Panama City, Florida, Halloween 2007 in my blog archives! Here is a really tiny sampling of some of that. Last year was soooo much fun because all the kids were at perfect ages to enjoy every bit of the Halloween excitement! The costumes were fun, and with the exception of Alaire's witch, were all recycled from a previous Halloween or dance recital.
