Seaside

We finally drove out to Seaside to see what this adorable little beach town is all about, and we loved it!

The Surrey Ride

We saw a family riding around on a surrey like this and just had to give it a try! It was just the cutest thing! There are four seats with pedals, but Maren couldn't reach at all, and Ramsey barely could, so Aaron and I carried the load. And boy was it a load!! We laughed so much on this ride, and all the kids had an absolute ball. Not a one of them had a negative thing to say the entire hour we drove around.

And as a special note to Mr. Dirty Rat Stinky Mouse Iron Man Daemon, we were seriously wishing we had you, your lovely wife, your humor, and your long, strong, bicycling legs helping us pedal this thing!!

Back to the Beach!

After what seemed like an extremely long winter, we've all been getting a little itch to hit the beach again! As a reward to ALL of us for surviving this long, painful semester of Aaron's--and particularly to celebrate how awesome he did--we went out to spend a few hours playing and relaxing yesterday. Yeah, it caused all the kids to eat dinner too late, to still be working on homework far too late, and to go to bed way past their usual schoolnight bedtime, but somehow that was all part of the fun of it!

I think we are all going to really enjoy living here this summer!
